BAC Comments on Non-Energy Benefits

BAC submitted comments to the California Energy Commission in its proceeding to consider non-energy benefits and impacts. BAC’s comments emphasize the need to consider:

• Short-Lived Climate Pollutant reductions
• Opportunities for carbon negative emissions
• Wildfire mitigation
• Reduction in open burning of forest and agricultural waste
• Bioenergy emissions compared to burning or land-filling organic waste
• The need for a diverse energy portfolio, including firm power, to ensure energy reliability and resilience.
