Mainspring Energy Signs Landmark 1.6 Gigawatt Deal !!

Mainspring Energy has signed an agreement with American Electric Power (AEP), one of the nation’s largest investor-owned utilities, to provide 1.6 gigawatts of linear generators to meet growing electricity demand from data centers. Under the agreement, Mainspring will deliver an initial 190 MW of linear generators in Indiana in 2027, with the broader agreement contracted for 1.6 GW over 8 year

Linear generators produce clean electricity using an innovative, non-combustion technology. They can run on biogas, biomethane, or other clean and low carbon fuels and produce virtually no emissions in the process. Importantly, they also produce “firm” power that is available when needed for as along as needed. Clean firm power will be critical to fill in when solar or wind power are not available. Linear generators can also provide dispatchable power that ramps up and down quickly to stabilize the power grid
